Metro Nashville Emergency Operations Center Upgrade

, , ,

To improve interdepartmental communication and emergency response, Metro Nashville retained Puckett Engineering to upgrade its Emergency Operations Center’s electrical infrastructure, including new lighting, new critical circuits from the redundant UPS system, replacement of all wiring, coordination of the electrical requirements for the modular furniture with the interior designer for supplying the equipment and for coordination with the circuiting, and new power for printers, fax machines, and plasma monitors. The design incorporated distribution equipment and wiring for compatibility with power system harmonics caused by nonlinear electronic loads. Puckett Engineering also provided construction administration, device identification and color coding of circuitry.
